Why this package works

This 2N/3D Rishikesh Adventure package is focused, high-energy and travel-efficient: arrive late evening or early morning, spend a full day on rafting and adventure activities, sleep riverside under the stars, and return to Delhi refreshed — perfect for long weekends. The price is competitive for the inclusions and the operator vetting/safety is central to the plan.

Important Safety & Regulations (read before you book)

  • Life jackets and helmets are mandatory for rafting — your operator will provide government-approved safety gear. Always follow the guide’s instructions.

  • Minimum age varies by stretch: often 9 km has a lower minimum (12–14 yrs) while 16 km+ typically requires 14+ and greater fitness. Check when booking.

  • Bungee eligibility (Jumpin Heights): age 12–45 years, weight ~40–110 kg and a medical screening. Pregnant persons or those with heart/back issues are not allowed. Book the bungee slot in advance (limited daily slots).

  • Operators normally follow national safety standards, but always choose vetted companies — ask for guide certificates and equipment quality before boarding.

Best Time to Visit

  • March → June (spring/early summer): Prime rafting season — warm days and strong river flow, ideal for rapids.

  • September → November (autumn): Another excellent window — clear skies and stable flows.

  • July–August (monsoon): Not recommended for rafting — rivers swell and many stretches close for safety.

  • December–February (winter): Cold but possible — smaller rapids and quieter camps; bring warm gear.

How to Reach Rishikesh (quick facts)

  • By Road from Delhi: ~235–256 km depending on route; typical travel time 5–8 hours by car/coach depending on traffic and route chosen. Plan for early starts to avoid Delhi traffic.

  • By Train: Regular trains run to Haridwar and Rishikesh (insert train options when booking). Trains are a comfortable option for weekend travellers.

  • Nearest Airport: Jolly Grant (Dehradun / DED) — approximately 20–30 km from Rishikesh (taxi ~45–90 minutes depending on traffic).

Packing Checklist (practical)

  • Quick-dry clothes, swimwear, and a change of clothes.

  • Lightweight trekking shoes / water shoes with straps (no flip-flops for rafting).

  • Warm layers for evening by the river (nights can be chilly).

  • Sunglasses, sunscreen, dry bag / ziplock for phone, power bank.

  • Small first-aid kit, prescription medicines, ID proofs (photo-ID is required for adventure activities).

  • Cash (ATMs are limited near remote camps).
