The Char Dham Yatra is one of the most sacred pilgrimage journeys in India, located in the beautiful Himalayan state of Uttarakhand. This spiritual journey covers four holy temples — Yamunotri Temple, Gangotri Temple, Kedarnath Temple, and Badrinath Temple. Every year, thousands of devotees from across India and around the world undertake this pilgrimage to seek divine blessings and spiritual peace.

The journey traditionally begins from Yamunotri Temple, the source of the sacred Yamuna River, followed by Gangotri Temple, the origin of the holy Ganga River. Pilgrims then travel to Kedarnath Temple, one of the twelve Jyotirlingas of Lord Shiva, located amidst majestic Himalayan peaks. The final destination is Badrinath Temple, dedicated to Lord Vishnu and situated along the banks of the Alaknanda River.

Usually starting from Haridwar, Rishikesh, or Dehradun, the Char Dham Yatra is not just a religious pilgrimage but also a journey through breathtaking mountain landscapes, ancient temples, and serene valleys of the Himalayas. The yatra typically opens in April or May and continues until October or November, depending on weather conditions.
